ABOUT THE OWNER
Affordable Painting got its start in 1991 when John Goodwin was just 17 years old. With sheer grit, determination to succeed and a $200 loan from grandma, John built the business from the ground up, with humble beginnings painting house numbers on street curbs. John widened his horizons at every opportunity and by 1996 was named most affordable painter in the Wichita area every year since. More than 30 years later, John was still growing his business and servicing the greater Wichita area community with an impeccable reputation for superior quality at reasonable rates.
In 2024, John made the well deserved decision to step away from the business. With this, came the unique opportunity for his daughter, Kimberly Calloway to step in and take over. Kimberly brings a wealth of diverse knowledge and experience with a background in property management and real estate. In addition to the advantage this unique experience provides her, Kimberly has an uncanny ability to network and connect with everyone she meets in a meaningful way which has only encouraged the additional success and growth of Affordable Painting. Most importantly, Kimberly is beaming with pride as the only female owner in the painting and remodeling industry in the state of Kansas. Kimberly hopes that her presence in this space and ambitious spirit will inspire other women who are eager to grow and be successful in this male-dominated industry. Kimberly & business partner Morgan, look forward to continuing the legacy her father worked so hard to build.
